Purchased in 2016, this nine-year-old bag is a reliable workhorse that has accompanied me on countless trips. It's perfect for an overnighter, though three days might be pushing it. The 30L capacity is generous—the main compartment easily fits a packing cube, a pair of shoes, and a light jacket. The zippers extend nearly all the way down, making unpacking effortless.
Organization is excellent. A small pocket on top holds sunglasses. The outermost sleeve is perfect for items you need to remove at airport security—phone, wallet, keys. Your laptop fits in the built-in sleeve at the back (marketed as TSA-friendly, though you'll still need to remove it). The secondary internal compartment features three convenient pockets for charging cables and other small essentials.
Made by Timbuk2, a San Francisco-based brand known for consistent quality. They discontinued this model—and rightfully so, as newer designs have improved. Oh, and there's a built-in bottle opener on one of the straps.
Here’s a good review from 2017.
