I must’ve worn this less than 20 times. The thing with APC raw denim pants is that it takes a while for you to break these things in. But once they do, you can practically sleep in them. Some nerds have gone overboard to make these things properly broken in (like diving in seawater). But you do you. This is actually my second pair of APC raw denim and the first one (with repaired crotches and all) have been bequathed to my dear nephew, who loves it so much.
This is a pair for the brave and curious about the joys of raw denim. If your waistline is 29 inches, this might still feel a bit tight, but don’t fret! This will eventually loosen and bring you so much joy! It’s also a steal for the price!
Also, only wash it once a year for great results. Don’t worry, this one is clean! So if you’re curious about raw denim, this is a great place to start.
The A.P.C. Reputation: A Modern Classic
A.P.C. is the undisputed king of minimalist raw denim, famous for its rigid, 14.5oz Japanese selvedge denim that serves as a blank canvas for the wearer. Unlike mass-produced jeans, A.P.C. is prestigious for its "no-frills" approach—clean lines, no back-pocket stitching, and a focus on fit over branding.
Why they sell:
- Elite Fading Potential: They are world-renowned for developing high-contrast, personalized "honeycombs" and "whiskers" that are unique to the owner’s body.
- The "Gateway" to Luxury: A.P.C. is the bridge between mall brands and artisanal Japanese labels, carrying significant "if-you-know-you-know" clout in the fashion community.
- Timeless Silhouette: Whether it's the New Standard or Petit Bateau, these cuts have remained industry benchmarks for decades.
